PS 3230V - Psychology of Brain Injury
Associated Term: 2023/24 Academic Session
Learning Objectives:
This module aims to equip students with a thorough understanding of the causes and consequences of brain damage in humans. To provide knowledge on how the study of individuals with brain damage can lead to a better understanding of human brain function. To educate students on the core ideas of recovery and neuro-rehabilitation. Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand the effects of acquired brain lesions on human behaviour; 2. Understand the main techniques used for neuropsychological assessment and apply this knowledge to be able to evaluate neuropsychological profiles; 3. Critically evaluate the methodology and research in this area.

Technical Requirements: The total number of notional learning hours associated with this module are 150.
